Finding an Episcopal or Anglican Church Around the WorldThe Anglican Communion is made up of 80 million people around the world who worship using a local version of the Book of Common Prayer. If you are traveling or studying in a place far from home and want to find a church to attend, there are Internet resources that can help you. Anglicans Online maintains an excellent web site with several directories to help you find Anglican (Episcopal) churches in the USA and around the world. The Episcopal Church in the USA is in full communion with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and they also maintain a web site with a church directory. If you are Anglican (Episcopal), Lutheran worship will be very familiar to you. If you can't fine a church where you are but have access to the Internet, and you want to try something completely different, visit i-Church. According to its web page, "The i-Church is a Christian community in the Church of England in the Diocese of Oxford. It is a web-based community for those who wish to explore Christian discipleship, but who are not able, or do not wish, to join a local parish church." Many Princetonians who are far from home find our links to daily prayer sites very helpful. You can follow along online in the knowledge that people all over the world are praying the same prayers that day. If all else fails, email the ECP Chaplain for more help. |
