STAFF:

Executive Director: Rev. David H. Kim

Rev. David H. Kim is the executive director of Manna and has served at Princeton University for the past fourteen years. During his time at Princeton, David developed this ministry to focus on how the gospel renews both private and public worlds. He is also currently on staff with Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan serving as the director of the Gotham Fellowship a nine-month Fellows program from young professions. He received his B.A. in biology from the University of Pennsylvania, his M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary, and his Th.M. from Princeton Theological Seminary in Christian Ethics. He is an ordained minister of the PCA.

Associate Director & Chaplain: Rev. Blake A. Altman

Rev. Blake A. Altman is the associate director and chaplain of Manna Christian Fellowship. He oversees the daily operations of the ministry and leads the staff. Prior to joining Manna's staff in 2006, he ministered on staff at Park Cities Presbyterian Church, Dallas, TX and Bent Tree Bible Fellowship, Carrollton, TX. He received his B.S. in biomedical science from Texas A&M University and a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary in Historical Theology.  On Sundays he assists in worship at Hope Presbyterian Church, Lawrenceville, NJ.  In his spare time when he's not sharing the gospel or rough housing with his kids, he enjoys reading Flannery O'Connor novels, watching Big XII football, jogging, or exploring the outdoors with his wife, Lauren, and two young children, Andrew and Annie. He is an ordained minister of the PCA.

Senior Staff: Jane J. Kim '04

Jane Kim is a Senior Staff member of Manna Christian Fellowship. Prior to joining Manna's staff in 2008, Jane worked as an attorney in Princeton, NJ. Jane is involved in the daily ministry operations, with a particular emphasis on women's ministry. In her free time, Jane likes to bake and watch episodes of "The Office." She loves good food and good conversations and is always happy to meet up with students for coffee :) Jane received her B.A. in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs from Princeton University, and her J.D. from Cornell University.

 

Staff intern: Jae Han '09

Jae Han graduated from Princeton University in 2009, majoring in Religion with a certificate in Judaic Studies. He has lived in many places, but mostly identifies himself with the great state of Alaska. He likes theological conversations (the type that spring up on long van rides to Camp Spofford), punctuality, basketball, semantic boundaries, and Betty, his guitar. He dislikes SoCal, lateness, and loudness. For now, he looks forward to working with Manna and the undergraduates the following year, and also growing in Christ throughout. Staff intern: Julia Yoon '09

Julia Yoon came into Princeton University in 2005 as a Pre-med Chemical Engineer. However, her life changed in many ways her freshman year (including joining Manna Christian Fellowship during the spring semester). She graduated in 2009 with a B.A. in Politics and a Certificate in East Asian Studies. During her four years at Princeton, she has witnessed a lot of God's living sovereignty and love in herself and this community. She has also been blessed with the opportunity to serve this body of Christ for another year as an intern this coming year. Julia loves travelling, studying and practicing Mandarin Chinese, Korean, and maybe a little Spanish. She also loves reading, riding public transportation, and riding rollercoasters. Ministry Fellow: Michael Chen

Michael S. Chen is a M.Div. candidate at Princeton Theological Seminary and a former pastoral intern at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City.  In 2005,  Mike spent four months as a medical student before admitting he was more interested in caring for people's souls than their bodies. Mike's experience in ministry includes three years as collegiate staff with the Navigators at NYU and an internship with church-planters in Ireland. Mike received a BA in Navigators from Dartmouth College. Just kidding, he majored in sociology. Mike lives in Princeton, NJ with his awesome wife Sonja. He works with Manna's Worship Team & Freshmen Small Group.

Ministry Fellow: Dave Fernandez '05

David Fernandez is a Ministry Fellow at Manna, and is a Princeton alum (class of ‘05). After earning his degree in Economics, and spending three years working as a financial analyst in Los Angeles, David returned to Princeton to pursue an M.Div. at Princeton Theological Seminary where he is currently a middler (a second-year student in PTS parlance). In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Risa (class of ‘03), eating and cooking new things, fishing (and catching nothing), and tending to his balcony garden.

 

Ministry Fellow: Ben Thomas

Ben is a native Texan and a proud 2005 graduate of Baylor University, where he studied theatre and journalism. After a brief attempt at a New York City acting career, Ben began theological studies at Westminster Theological Seminary before transferring to Princeton Seminary. He will graduate from the Seminary with his M.Div. in 2010 and plans to pursue post-graduate studies in ethics, law, and religion, or... who really knows? In his spare time, Ben enjoys spending time with his beautiful bride, watching football (in the fall), watching Lost (in the spring), going to the theatre, being a food-snob, and doing any other stereotypical yuppie activity you can think of.

Volunteer Staff: Regina Yang '08

Regina Yang graduated from Princeton in 2008 (whoo! i say "oh!" you say "eight!" ) as a Civil and Environmental Engineer with a focus in Architecture. Regina was really blessed to develop and engage a Gospel worldview (:-D) at Manna so much, that she stayed another year as a staff intern in 2008-2009. She currently works in Princeton for APPRISE (Applied Public Policy Research Institute for Study and Evaluation), which is based across the street from the campus. Regina loves Jesus, people, and the environment (among many other things). She also spent 16 years of her life kicking and running around a soccer field and misses it dearly. If you want to get together to hang out or talk (about anything! from your personal spiritual life and struggles to sports to sustainable design) or play, just drop her a line/email. You may or may not hear her say, "Can I ask you a personal question?" so be prepared. :D You don't have to answer, though.
