Mr. Emmanuel A. Kampouris is the retired Chairman and CEO of American Standard. He has serves on the boards of Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of N.J., Stanley Works, Amway, National Endowment for Democracy and a Trustee of Hudson Institute (Emeritus). He has also served on the boards of Click Commerce, Smart Disk Corporation, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In 2000 he founded the Kairos Journal, an online Magazine which seeks to embolden, educate, equip, and support pastors and church leaders as they strive to transform the moral conscience of their culture and restore the prophetic voice of the Church.
He earned an M.A. in law from Oxford University and a degree in Ceramic Technology from North Staffordshire College of Technology, Stoke-on-Trent in the U.K.
Mr. Bob Mayer ’67 has enjoyed a long career in brand marketing and strategy. The famous brands he has helped shape include American Airlines, Clairol, Minolta Cameras, Chase Bank, Dial Soap, Ford, Showtime, Redbook Magazine, IBM, Federal Express, Luzianne Tea, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Frederick Wildman Wines, and Charles of the Ritz.
In two notable cases, Bob and his marketing team spearheaded spectacular turnarounds for Smith Corona and America West Airlines.
Recently, Bob completed a 5 year assignment with the InterContinental Hotels Group, working on repositioning the InterContinental and Crowne Plaza brands, and being a member of the M+A team. One highlight was a post 9/11 campaign for the New York hotels that won numerous awards for its sensitivity and courage in urging people to support New York and come back to the city.
Bob is a published poet and a proud member of the Princeton University class of ’67.
Mr. Jaime Robertson-Lavalle is the Management Director at Zermatt Dusk, where he provides management consulting and advisory services to high-tech companies. Jaime has over 14 years of leadership experience in private equity investments, corporate development and operations. Previously, as Director of Strategic Investments for Intel Capital, Jaime and his team led investments and acquisitions in networking and IT infrastructure, software, value-added services, and security. The investment portfolio built the $500 million Intel Communications Fund, an equity fund for technology companies developing innovative networking and communications solutions.
Jaime joined Intel Capital in 1999 as part of Intel’s acquisition of Dialogic Corporation, where he was Vice President of Business Development and headed the company’s mergers, acquisitions and strategic investments activity. Prior to that Jaime started the company’s Latin American subsidiary, which he grew to the number one position in the region. Before joining Dialogic, Jaime held positions at Arthur D. Little, Exxon, and IBM. He received an MBA degree from Harvard University and an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina.
Jaime is an Alumni Advisor for Harvard Business School, a member of the Harvard Club of New York City and Angelvine, formerly known as the Jersey Angels Network.
He and his wonderful wife live in New Jersey and have four children, ranging in age from twelve to twenty-four. He is a member of Abundant Life Worship Center of Whippany, New Jersey.
Mr. Al Shjarback is the Vice President Engineering and Operations FOX Television Stations New York City.
Al started with WWOR TV in 1984 as a Technical Operations Manager, and later as the Station’s Chief Engineer. In 2001 FOX purchased WWOR and moved Al into his current role where he oversees a staff of nearly 300 Engineers and Support personnel.
With a career that spans over 30 years in the Broadcasting and Cable industries, his interest was first sparked by a job with Radio Station WAWZ in Zarephath.
Married for 35 years with one son Al resides in NJ where he serves as a Board Member of the Zarephath Christian Church, and the Assistant Chief of the Warren Twp. Fire Department. He holds numerous FCC, Fire, EMS, Construction and Engineering licenses and certifications.
Mr. Tom Amato ’67 in 2005 was appointed CFO of the Pillar of Fire, International, a a Christian denomination headquartered in Zeraphath, New Jersey, which projects the gospel via radio (3 stations), primary and secondary education, churches and missions.
Previously, Mr. Amato has served as CFO of three publicly-traded companies over a period of 20 years, including Symbol Technologies from 1990 to 1997. After leaving Symbol, Tom served as CFO of Dialogic Corporation and ultimately negotiated the sale of the company to Intel. More recently he served as CFO for two VC-backed telecommunications equipment start-ups (Tachion Networks & Wavesmith Networks) and privately owned Sentinel Business Systems, Inc. He currently serves as Chairman of the Audit Committee and a Director of Intersections, Inc., which completed a successful IPO in April, 2004.
Mr. Amato has negotiated the sale of several companies (including Dialogic to Intel), equity placements (public and private), acquisitions and divestitures and raised capital in both the equity and debt markets. He has also been responsible for corporate development and strategic planning for technology companies. In addition to leading the financial activities of several technology companies, his experience in operations includes growth programs and consolidations; IT and facilities as well as PR. He has overseen financial activities for technology companies in Europe, Asia and South America as well as for domestic companies.
Tom holds an AB in Economics from Princeton (’67) and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (’70)
Mr. C. Scott Inglis is the Managing Director of the Private Securities Unit at MetLife, Inc. Scott’s biographical information will be available on Saturday night. Scott Inglis is Managing Director and Head of MetLife’s $35 billion Private Securities Unit. In this position he manages MetLife’s private placement, project finance, leasing and tax oriented investment businesses.
Previously, Mr. Inglis managed MetLife’s High Return Unit, which included high yield, bank loan, emerging markets, workouts, and corporate equity. He joined MetLife in 2001 to manage the domestic private placement portfolio.
Before joining MetLife, Mr. Inglis was Senior Vice President and Head of American General Corporation's Private Placement Group. He has experience in a wide variety of private finance structures including investment grade debt, project finance, credit tenant leases, mezzanine debt, and private equity.
Prior to joining American General in 1989, Mr. Inglis was Vice President at Prudential Capital Corporation. During his seven years at Prudential, he was responsible for originating, underwriting, structuring and closing a wide variety of private investments.
Mr. Inglis holds a BBA degree from Baylor University and an MBA degree from the University of Texas.
After eleven years with SSB, he moved to Chicago to be a Managing Director of Citadel Investment Group. At Citadel, he founded and ran for eight years the Securitized Products Group, which invested in Agency and Nonagency Mortgage-Backed Securities.
Earlier this year, he co-founded Residential Dynamics Group LLC, a Chicago-based firm which invests in distressed residential properties. Mr. Lim is a member of the Board of Directors of Chicago Fellowship and a member of the leadership council of Priority Associates Chicago.
His wife’s name is Peggy, and they have two children, Jake (7) and Justin (5).
Mr. Vernon Outlaw is a seasoned Wall Street professional with 26 years experience--having worked with many prestigious firms such as Salomon Brothers, L.F. Rothschild, and Utendahl Capital Partners. He is currently the Senior Vice President in fixed income sales at FTN Financial (First Tennessee).
He and his wonderful wife live in New Jersey and have four children, ranging in age from twelve to twenty-four. He is a member of Abundant Life Worship Center of Whippany, New Jersey.
Vernon received his Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Columbia University.
Mr. John E. Urban is currently President of Urban Capital LLC, which he founded in 2002. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for Patrick Henry College in Virginia. John is a past Member of the Board of Highland Financial in Dallas , Tx. He was also a Founding Member and Board Member of the Loan Syndication and Trading Association.
In November 2001, John retired as a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of the Fixed Income Leveraged Finance Business of Goldman Sachs in New York.
In 1996, John was promoted in the first class of Managing Directors at Goldman Sachs. At that time, John managed the largest dealer proprietary trading book of distressed bank loans on Wall Street.
From 1992 until 1996, John was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the global loan business responsible for trading and portfolio management.
John received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois
