Welcome! I am a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in psychology and social policy at Princeton University, working primarily with professors Susan Fiske and Alex Todorov.

My main research interests center on age-based prejudice: its nature, causes, potential interventions, and policy applications. Much of my research with Susan Fiske has focused on how ageism arises from intergenerational tensions over resources; my dissertation research builds upon this work by investigating novel interventions to change ageist, resource-based attitudes among the young. A secondary line of research with Alex Todorov (and Dan Osherson) explores the extent to which people accurately infer others’ preferences from mere low-key, spontaneous facial expressions. We are also investigating the consequences of face-based trait inferences in various real-world social domains.

I generally like speaking with people, and because you’re reading this, chances are I’d like talking to you too. I welcome all questions or comments about my research, your research, someone else’s research, the weather, or whether the Knicks will finally return to glory.
