Orange Key, the volunteer student tour guide service of Princeton University

Group Tours

Orange Key is pleased to offer campus tours to groups of prospective students and other visitors. If your group includes fewer than 15 people, no reservation is necessary; simply show up at one of our regular tour times. Groups of 15 or more must reserve at least two weeks in advance of the requested tour date.

To schedule a group tour, please call the Admission Office at (609) 258-3060.

We encourage groups of prospective students to attend an admission information session as well. Again, please contact the Undergraduate Admission Office. Admission information sessions are for high school students who may apply for admission to Princeton.

Here are some things to keep in mind as you plan your visit to Princeton:
  • In general, group tours are offered only at our regular weekly tour times.

  • We are unable to hold personal items (such as luggage, backpacks, coats, or umbrellas) for tour participants.

  • Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. Our tours depart on time, and in case of late arrival we cannot guarantee a tour guide will be available to lead the tour.

  • Bus parking must be coordinated with the Parking Office (609-258-3157).

  • Orange Key tours cover many aspects of Princeton, from academic information and campus life to University history and architectural details. As such, the tour may be of interest to all visitors. Keep in mind, however, our tours are specifically geared towards high school students (and their families) who are considering Princeton as a possible next step in their education. Non-student visitors might also be interested in visiting the Princeton University Art Museum and the Historical Society of Princeton.
