How would you describe yourself in 2 sentences or less?
I find people fascinating and the sunrise gorgeous, I enjoy all music and Italian and Mexican food, I wonder deeply and often... Life affords countless many opportunities to grow, and I'm inspired to discover them. What are your academic interests (more specific than your major)? As a career, I plan to study biochemistry, genetics, bioinformatics. However, I'm also passionate about Spanish language and literature, linguistics, etymology, and cognition in general. I hope to get certificates (read: "minors") in Spanish, Quantitative and Computational Biology, and Computer Science. What do you do on campus (extracurricular interests)? Research in a biochemistry lab (part wet-lab, part computational), write/edit/layout for the campus science magazine Innovation, and many community service activities--interpreting for Spanish-speaking patients at the hospital, Red Cross Society, learning American Sign Language to volunteer for the school for the deaf. I also enjoy intramural sports and attending guest lectures. What have you learned about Princeton that you would have liked to know as a prospective student? The undergraduate focus that Princeton claims makes it unique is 100% accurate. I have access to the best resources and minds that any American university has to offer. What do you hope (or plan) to do after graduation and in the rest of your life? I'll go to graduate school to study biology, and eventually research to contribute my work and ideas to science/the world. |
