a Woodrow Wilson School major

How would you describe yourself in 2 sentences or less?
(What is most important to you in your life? What defines you?)

At the end of the day, I want my regrets be things I've done, and not things I never had the courage to do.

What are your academic interests (more specific than your major)?

I like playing with computers and arguing about technology policy. My friends always point out that I have a strong interest in East Asia, but learning Chinese and Japanese concurrently really isn't a big deal in my eyes.

What do you do on campus (extracurricular interests)?

I'm involved giving campus tours, and I play percussion in the University Orchestra. I enjoy exploring campus and other cities, which I try to do every few weeks. I also work with the Center for Information Technology Policy as an Undergraduate Fellow.

What have you learned about Princeton that you would have liked to know as a prospective student?

The professors are really incredible, and accessible. If you email them about having lunch/coffee/whatever, they're glad to spend time with you talking about anything you want. The students here are likewise very interesting. Every person has some sort of unique story that you would never expect, and were you to spend 10 years at Princeton you'd never learn them all. Your peers will constantly surprise and challenge you at every turn. Our Chinese department is arguably one of the best in the nation, btw.

What do you hope (or plan) to do after graduation and in the rest of your life?

I haven't thought about what happens after Princeton. I'd like to be able to travel the world for a little while and get a better feel for what else is out there. Career-wise, who knows?
