Founded at Princeton University in 1900, the University Press Club is the only collegiate organization of its kind. For over a century, the UPC has been home to a small, dedicated group of professional undergraduate journalists who cover regional events for off-campus publications. Dinner with TIME's Matt Cooper and his public lecture afterwards were great fun; thanks very much to the UPC members who worked so hard to make it happen. We got to see our candidates at the reception afterwards and then capped off the week with a cocktail party where we got to say thanks to the candidates for all their hard work so far.
And what about those candidates? They're working on their third and final folder, finishing the Candidates Period at long last. We'll be conducting interviews on the eighth and ninth, and new UPC members will be admitted before Winter Break. They or anyone can always contact us at pressclb@princeton.edu

Press Club recently enjoyed dinner with TIME Magazine's Matt Cooper, who was in the news for his involvement with the Valerie Plame scandal.
