Applications are invited from professional literary translators who are translating the work of a Swiss author out of one of the four Swiss national languages – German, French, Italian and Rhaeto-Romanic – into English. A Looren Translation Grant is also an acknowledgement of the excellence of a translator’s previous work. Four grants will be awarded. They are tied to a one-month stay at Translation House Looren, and are worth CHF 4000 each. Travel costs are reimbursed.
