This collection of photos chronicles the construction of Princeton Stadium along with Weaver Track and Field Stadium from Spring 1997 through Opening Day on September 19 1998. For the sake of the descriptions, I'm referring to the closed horseshoe end of the stadium as due north. Princeton Stadium is oriented the same as Palmer Stadium, so the views below shouldn't be too confusing. The home stands are on the west side, visitor stands on the east, and the new track is south, between the stadium and Jadwin Gym. (This section map published by Athletics should make things clear.)

...And don't forget the Princeton Stadium Song (which also has lyrics ). DisclaimerThis page is provided by Irwin Tillman. In his own words, "I was not involved with the stadium project in any way; I don't represent Athletics or the University administration. I'm just an interested onlooker, an amateur photographer, and a Friend of the Tiger Band. I've placed these photos online for other Band alumni; I expect they may be of interest to other Princetonians." |
