October 18th, 2008 : Lose the Shoes Fundraiser

Thank you to all players! This was a great first annual event. Although we were only able to give ‘Lose the Shoes’ T-shirts to the winners, email jkhwang@ if you didn’t get a T shirt for participating but would like an SGAC shirt as thanks for your support. October 16th, 2008 : AIDS 101 (ongoing)

We presented a basic/domestic and globally-oriented AIDS 101 presentation to community house staff on October 16th. Thanks to authors Nam, Neal, Sari, Lily, Patty and Shannon — we got feedback that said our slides were especially good.

October 7th, 2008 : Presidential Debate Advocacy

ONE and SGAC has collaborated to write up information on the candidates’ approaches to global health (including HIV, malaria and tuberculosis), poverty, trade and other global matters. The information was distributed at the second presidential debate watch party in Frist. Neither ONE nor SGAC has any partisan bias; the aim is to inform voters on these critical but as yet understated issues.

September 28th, 2008 : NJ Ride against AIDS
