The Student Global AIDS Campaign (SGAC) is a national movement with more than 85 chapters at high schools, colleges, and universities across the United States committed to bringing an end to AIDS in the U.S. and around the world.

In the past, we have organized such projects as the Annual AIDS benefit concert, teaching local high school students about the AIDS crisis, inviting speakers like Paul Farmer, plastering campus with the grim facts about AIDS during Global AIDS Week, and working overall to fight the “AIDS fatigue” that seems to have set on in recent years. We are working to return HIV/AIDS to the forefront of discussion, because now more than ever in the history of this disease is action most needed.

With 42 million people infected with HIV/AIDS around the world, an additional 15,000 becoming infected every day, and 8,200 people dying every day, we need effective and science-based prevention programs and inexpensive, life-saving, generic AIDS medications. See our “Advocacy” and “AIDS profile” sections for more info. Our campaign is simple:

Fund the Fight. Treat the People. Drop the Debt. Stop the Spread.

Help us spread the virus of knowledge faster than the virus itself. Join us by emailing sgac@princeton.edu.
