Organizations from all over Princeton have come together to organize the new /@rts lecture series. The series aims to explore interrelations of new media, technology and traditional forms and practices of arts and humanities, and the School of Engineering and Applied Science, the Office of Information Technology, the Council for the Humanities, the Visual Arts Program, the Computer Science Department, the Music Department, the Lewis Center for Arts and the Princeton Art Museum make up its varied list of organizers.

Among the invited speakers are visual artists, computer scientists, sociologists, composers, performers, musicians – showcasing a wide array of works and the many ways in which technology and arts/humanities interrelate. Speakers will explore such topics as how cultural icons are reshaped by technology, how digital and mass media affect artists and culture, and how technology is, in turn, impacted by art, creating new technologies which then continue the cycle of reshaping culture.
